Thanks for all the nice comments. I waited for Skater for about 9 months. They had a rush on 28's right when mine was orderd from Power Boats NW. I Bought a off brand alum trailer from FL. and had a freind tow the trailer from FL. to Skater, that was the worst thing I did thur this whole deal. We than towed the 28 to WA. It sat for 10 months while I orderd the gauges, steering, throttles, and the rest of the rigging. The wait @ Diamond was 5 months to have the new ros 280 modified. I bought the motors from Ocean outboard 5 months before I bought the boat. So the truth to be told is I had to buy this boat one pice at a time. The last month the boat went down to CA. to have the final rigging done by Al Stoker. Here are a few photos from start to finish.
First three are from the first trip to Skater.

Looks Great!

Looking back on things, does it make sense to put together a Skater in the fashion you did (ie hull, trailer, paint, motors, rigging, etc) like a general contractor versus having Skater do everything? Was it cost effective? I probably could word my question better, but nonetheless I'm honestly interested in what you have to say/recommend.
Thanks,
Dan
