Swapped the drives " spinning In" today, Man what a difference ! I spun in with my modified 2.5`s a few years back and it rode well, a little loose though. I dont know if the weight of the 300xs motors made a difference, but it rode Awesome!! Ran right across the waves, felt very little. Smooth and Stable , only thing I did noticed it took a good bit longer to get on plane even with the drives tucked under.

Gary Ballogh and I have spent countless hours setting up my 32B and I'm spinning in ( I'll never go back to spinning out) and like you I have 300xs's. One thing you may want to look at is motor height, inward rotation lifts the bow and pulls the transom down. You may find ( depending on water pressure) that you can raise the motors.

Paul, thanks. That is next on my list.I had Skater make the water ramps so I should be able to at least raise 1/8". Will let you know how it turns out.
What kind of water pressure #s are you seeing?

Steve
I see 10-12 lbs in flat water. Usually however the water here isn't flat so with the spikes I'll see 12-15.

How are the 300xs's working out for you, any issues yet?

I have been spinning in for a long time.

Question for you guys, how do you like turning the boat at slow speeds?

Lanier

Hey Offshoresteve, do you go out to Lanier often? I just bought a boat and will be out on Lanier on most weekends. I'm just getting some seat time right now. DR.

Dreamboater

At slow speeds mine turns like it is on rails.

Turning mine in it seemed to take alot of the "hop" out of the boat. The only problem w/ spinning mine in is the shifters are backwards, I need to figure something out without having to re-rig the boat

300XS are great! had a issue at first and blew a powerhead @ 26hrs (someone @ Merc did not tighten a rod bolt tight) warranteed and no further problems:drink:
Have about 60+ hrs on the motors. Burning about 30gals per hr @ 90mph Can`t beat that!
