It saves about 800lbs. It's just lighter/race lay up or SLW. It doesn't add strength and the cost is considerably more. Less weight equals more speed. It also has a new lighter weight wrap around windshield that saves another 100lbs with no loss in strength.
On a boat that weighs 4,300, (800+100) 900 lighter, that's like 20% lighter, that is huge. I may just have to get me one of those...in my dreams |
