I would bet it is to keep the shifters in gear while running hard. I had to do the same thing on my Marine Machine controls and that was the main reason I switch to Livorsi controls.

36 skater outboard
the guys at Latham will be adding extra shifter and throttle, so I'll ask them if they can modify mine while they have it down there to prevent that from happening
Has anyone out there with Latham controls, used their quick release pin that locks all of the throttles together for ease of use when underway? |
