The drives have been blueprinted ie CNC'd to remove any casting defects and make sure the drive is perfectly semitrical to provide better flow accross the drive. I believe Wilson Custom Marine was the company that did the drives on Gus's boat.

Dkwesrern.........quickly, the drives are sent to skater and were made by a cnc machine at mercury, then sent out to be blueprinted and are totaly perfect............just like what pete does with all of his bottoms.......built to perfection !

Mercury's lowers are castings and the skeggs are not true, meaning they might have a slight bend or distrotion in them of some kind. They basicly make the skeg true, straight and no waves or bends. Here is there website with info.
