The stringers/knees/engine mounts, whatever you want to call them are 3/4 ply with 3 layers of 1708 on each side the aluminum angle to mount the engines with a mid plate and some front mounts I built.
We gel coated the bottom up to the rub rail, the top is paint for now but eventually it will get gel also. We also redid the dash and moved it forward a little. Here's an unfinished pic of it. Tachs are in the top between the humps and there will be a small GPS there too. Just need a little more money... http://www.csystemssoftware.com/TM/dashresize.jpg |
Hell yea! Nice work.
You've got a lot of room to grow with those stock 5.3s. |
Really nice job there :):) Those engines have lot's of potential :)

Thanks guys, I figured once I got it converted engine options are endless.

Thanks for posting the pixs. You do some really nice work. Good luck with the setup and keep us posted.

Awesome build. You can twist 6500 no prob with stone stock stuff. Try adding the TBSS or NNBS truck intake along with the 90 MM TB, you will pic up even more HP, it is a pretty cheap up grade.

I am blown away by this project! Congrats, thats the first I've seen like this! I didnt think there was enough room, would love more engine compartment and build pics!! Its completely understated how much work is involved in this.. "moved the dash forward a few inches", no easy feat!
