Boat looks great, care to share any information on the LSA power such as who built them and the estimated output?

Well since you asked..... It's a long story but The LSA's are no more. I'm having Brad Smith build motors. This put a major delay in the build but we should be on Brad's dyno next week.

Good move, Brad can flat out get it done and make it last.
Your Skater is going to be a BEAST. Congrats!!

Lake rat Skater 05-30-2013 08:07 PM

Wow that is quite the change, I'm sure the boat will run great. Are you have Brad build you naturally aspirated motors or with blowers?

Was at Skater yesterday looking at it while I changed the drive ratio's for the new engines. :D

skate 05-30-2013 10:37 PM

Yes and thanks for taking care of that with no issues!

We had to change gear ratios when we upgraded the power. Rik flew to Skater and took care of it. Great customer support!

precisiondetails 05-30-2013 11:09 PM

What size whipple is that, 5.0??

Lake rat Skater 05-31-2013 06:32 AM

Wow talk about upgraded power, it just picked up probably 40 mph lol.

noli 05-31-2013 07:35 AM

Tilted!:evilb:

Brad Smith is bringing the motors up to meet me and my son during our visit Monday. He has been a pleasure to work with. A real class act!

skate 06-06-2013 10:45 PM

precisiondetails 06-07-2013 12:05 AM

When did u start the build?

cfischer 06-07-2013 12:28 AM

awesome ride man!!

skate 06-07-2013 01:00 AM

5/12. But we had issues not related to Skater.

Lake rat Skater 06-07-2013 06:30 AM

Wow skate you truly have something special there, the tilt just sets it apart and I am a big fan of the simple skater logo on white boats. Just out of curiosity what type of goals do you have performance wise out of the boat? Speed wise with the Brad Smith motors I have to imagine it will be in a completely different league when compared to the LSA power or outboards.

The goal is to beat Louie!:evilb:

Mine were on the dyno last week, they made 1205hp 1177lb tq at 13lb boost at 6400rpm on pump gas. I picked them up from Eddie last friday, should have them in by the end of the week and hope to get it to the water by the weekend if all goes well.
