I have no interest in any way here regarding that 24. I saw the original ad for it and thought it was represented properly. I posted some comments regarding the problems on the other site and was ripped a new one so I just backed off.
Two things. The boat was presented as a race/pleasure hull potentially been raced and is a 1989. That's a 25 year old boat.
The whole ordeal over the 1700 hours on the engines. I don't think too many Mercury V-6 engines could get 1700 hours on them without having been rebuilt. If they were rebuilt or replaced long blocks chances are it's running the same electrics. Not sure which boxes were on the engines but you can't reset total hours on them only the various RPM hours. No mention has been given about the various RPM hours.
I don't think the seller of any boat is supposed to be giving a warranty after six months, or better, later.
Like I said I have no interest either way just observations.

If it means anything Lightspeed was very straight up and helpful about the 28 he has posted that belongs to his son. Unfortunatly you cant please everyone all the time, especially in the boat sales world. My only suggestion would be to give him a call to chat about it and go see it for yourself.
Thanks for all the nice comments on my boat, im looking forward to running it.
