Carmen, can you share roughly what a kit like this costs?

Ron, looking forward to your before and after top speed numbers!

Robb, we need this!

Ron,

Nice work, finished product is both functional & visually appealing!
You have a really nice 28, nicest I've seen!

Here's a shot on the water first test run with small props. Ran 100mph and solid no wind on the sunglasses. Boat felt good with no ill effects. Hope to test some more this weekend.

Well finally got a chance to run the boat this weekend in between all the rain down here. I have to say it is whole new dimension and feel running the 28 with the windshield. Now I know how the big guys feel. Speed sensation has changed. Ran 110 miles yesterday with speeds ranging from 65mph to 100mph. Based on the runs made yesterday in the ocean I have not seen any loss of speed to this point with the numbers I have run with the same set up before the installation in the same conditions. Still have not had the opportunity to do any top end runs though. Back seat protection is better also especially if you sit in the middle. I cannot imagine running a 28 without one ever again.

Just wanted to give you all an update. Ran the boat hard this past weekend in the Keys with Zero Patience and the windshield was awesome. No apparent loss of speed either! Could never own another 28 without a windshieId ever agian. Also stopped by the Aeromarine booth at the Miami Show and met Carmen in person and she was great. Aero has a new coating they offering as a scratch resistant process for the Acrylic. It looks pretty awesome on the sample they had. I will be sending my pieces in to get the coating in the coming weeks. With boating in saltwater I will not have to worry about scratches. Pretty cool stuff! Looking forward to trying out their glass cleaner/wax also.
Here is a couple of pics of this past weekend and link to one of the high speed passes.

Ron, Thanks for all the information regarding the 28 Skater windshield! I ordered on for my boat last week from Carmen. She was very helpful as you said she would be. I'm waiting to get my boat back from paint at Visual Imagination. Can't wait to get it back together. New coating for the acrylic? I wonder if mine will be shipped with it. Did you ever figure out if the "Skater" logo could be programmed on my Garmin? Your boat looks terrific! Glad that the windshield is working so well for you. David
