Really?!?!

No one is going to notice the navigator and make some comment? You guys are getting old or loosing your touch.

That photo was made during the FPC Emerald Coast Poker Run. That boat ran good but not 300X good!

My son and I ran him hard in our 28 to the first card stop in some serious chop. He knew how to handle the boat and either she did not mind the conditions or he didn't listen to her complain.

When we got to the first card stop and she bounced out it was like Cool Hand Luke's Lucile!

Hey guys,

I have owned the boat for three years now, it has been a project.
I have been through the engines, the outdrives....

Now I am in the middle of electrical clean up, just to make it look tidy.
I had the windscreens polished and they look 150% better.
repainted the trailer and replaced running gear.

I have been playing with setup for a year or more . My best so far is 103.
David Ortemond told me it had been up to 107...
I am still working with my prop guy.

I would be happy to answer any questions. So far i love the boat.
I hate the manners of the 2.5"s but cant convince myself to rerig it just yet.
The motors are fresh and sing a great song....

I am 6'4" tall and 260lbs. The boat is roomy and comfortable once you get inside.
It is not made for pleasure boating. My wife has only been on it one time.
But I have plenty of friends that are glad to ride/help.

I am not able to figure out how to post pictures or I would show you some of the progress.
The boat was sold to me all white. I have left the deck clean, but hava added two stipes to the
hullsides below the rubrail. Black /yellow/red, tried to keep it looking clean.

It is a work in progress and I exspect to be @ 110 mph when finished.
There is no possible way that it will go faster than that.
But I am satisfied that will be enough.
It is an fun boat to drive and really seems responsive and forgiving at the same time.
I run AVGAS because I worry about the tanks.

I will try to update this as progress is made.

Thanks
Michael

you can email them to me if ya want I'll pm ya with my address. nice to hear someone taking care of it. I personally never met david or his dad, don't think I have ever heard a bad word spoken of them. they look like they were very active in the boating community. I think davids dad raced at one point.

skate, I did notice the navigator. how can you miss that??? the boat is just a back drop LOL

Michael, Registered accounts in OSO can't upload pics

These are your options:
1. open a free photobucket.com account, post your pics there, then copy the image url and paste it here
2. email the pics to folks who wants to help, like LAriverratt or me [email protected] and we'll post them up
3. upgrade your account at OSO if you wish to post yourself ( my recommendation to you because I wish to see lots of pics ....muhahaha selfish of me but... )

This is an awesome boat, congrats!

please share every and all pics if you can. Would like to see before and after shots

there's another similar cat to yours in the classifieds waiting for someone to do the same upgrades --> http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o54141-en.html

your boat has lots of potential, she can be converted (in the future) to wrap-around windshield cause she's already a flat deck and seating for 5

.

I've heard that air conditioning can be installed inside canopy boats as well as heaters.

Hey guys, I know some of you (noli) we're wondering what happened to that 28' from Louisiana...
We'll after Michael had it in Tennessee I picked it up and it's sitting in my garage! It's rigged with no power right now, but I have a set of 300 promax's with significant mods I was going to put on. I've redone some other skaters over the years, and had planned to convert this to a 4 seat poker run boat with wrap around windshield. It's actually a fairly easy conversion and could be a one of a kind.... But now I might be changing directions... Center consoles....thinking bout selling the 28 but with mixed emotions....
