95 top end...93 degrees, 98% humidity and fairly flat water. cruising was upper 70's to 80ish at about 5k. close to 3/4 tank of fuel, 1/2 full oil tanks too...my fuel gauges are off a little...ran out at 1/8 tank a couple times already thankfully close to the marina LOL.

Yes and you live in the NE where all Skaters are faster until they die.

The humidity and heat we have in this part of the country is a killer on horsepower. Not that it doesn't get hot and humid up there but.... I never saw over 98 in the summer and did not hit 102 until a cool dry fall day here. Add in all our hot women beer and fuel we carry and it's a wonder we even get on plane down here!

I've also noticed a 1-2 mph gain on salt water 1-2' bay chop compared to our smooth water rivers and smooth until bumpy lakes.

Not to mention all the cruiser wakes Conditions are everything and ours generally suck.

when fall gets here I will run it and fully expect to see better numbers. my mustang loved the dry cool air LOL...you'd swear someone swapped out the engine from the last run in the heat and humididty LOL.

Hey LA, I was reading about that Skater 30ss with the merc 300XSs. Its the red white and blue classic 30 that just came out a while ago. They're running 31pitch BBades Blasters and I believe they stated it was cruising about 80mph around 4200rpms or so. Sounded pretty good. They had no top end numbers yet as their lake was low and were afraid of stumps. I think they were going to step up to 32s. You may consider them. Right now they only come in pitch up to 33. I don't think they'll work for me but Brett said he may be casting some with greater pitch as people have been asking for them. Just a thought. Steve.

What speeds are you seeing now with the cut down deck?

Great pic guys. That's a fun Lake.

I'm only going to offer you one suggestion. DO NOT go to a public bath. It's a long story, just don't. HaHa!

Have fun...
