Larry
You should finish putting the boat together minus power. Then if you decide to really sell it someone would be willing to pay more as all they have to do is hang some motors. You have a lot of time invested in it not finish the journey!

You have felt this way about it before as we all have with projects. Take a break from it. Hang in there and finish it. I don't want a project or I would buy it from you now after watching all of the work that you have put into it over the past couple of years. I got hosed as well, but, I dusted myself off and finished the build with another mechanic and also learned how to build the 2.5s' in the process. The 2.5s' are easy to build. Put trip 2.5s on her and let her eat! Then I will buy her. Be strong brother!

.

Larry, I've seen your cat up close and it is so incredible.

Please take the last 3 posts including mine and think about it more and to finish your awesome boat. Just stay away from it for a few weeks, release the stress, then hit it again.

sell your engines but tell them about what happened. there is always someone interested in engines no matter the state that it's in.

Larry, send me a PM for the selling price of your engines.

Truly thanks for the kind words !!! Here is the deal , been pouring my heart and soul into this 32 for 6 years and the last straw was paying Shaun Torrente STR to build me a pair of strokers , after I finally got the engines all together after all the custom detail work they went to Fuller marine for start up .
George fuller is one of the best in the business and have dealt with him 30 years ago , George agreed to go over the engines from top to bottom and break in . Well after 10 min under 1500 rpm George felt something was amiss, peaked inside with a camera and called me and said " please tell me a 12 year old did the port work " Anyway Shaun Torrente said no warranty and simply put he ****ed me !! Go to SCREAMANDFLAY.COM UNDER GENERAL DISC TO ENGINE WORK AND SEE YOURSELF .
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151276100087...84.m1586.l2649

THE ENGINES NEED BORED , PISTONS AND PORT CLEAN-UP AND WILL MAKE 350 HP EACH , THEY ARE 3.2 LITRE STROKERS . I MAY SELL POWER SEP DEPENDING ON OFFERS , LOWERS ARE REBUILT , FAT SHAFT SPORTMASTERS

I dont know anything more about STR than what I have read here and S&M., and I am far from an engine builder.

Seems pretty clear to me that even if there was a failure during break-in it would have never caused the condition found with the port work, or cylinder prep.

Good on you KK for letting a pro do the break-in. Who the hell does that? If you would have clamped them on and hit the lake for a few hours and then they exploded I might understand STR having beef. But you did everything right.

If I made a living building performance motors, You can bet your ass I would do what I needed to do to make this one right.

Exactly me point !!! Thank you !! Been around this crap for 35 years and I knew I was on my own after a boat ride . Shaun torrente offered me pistons , my gripe is this after issues , what the hell did I pay you to do the first time ? I paid for 6 pistons and he used the others which fuller said also needed to replaced

Apparently its a very long list of people that Shaun Torrente ripped off , hell 5 of them called me to tell me their horrible engine / machine work
