VERY NICE JOB!!! Would also like to see pics on the Verado electric pump interfaced with open center helm . I have looked into this a great deal and decided this was the way to go . How many turns lock to lock is it ?

same here...looking at adding power steering too... would be nice to just be able to use what I haven now and add the pump though.

It is my understanding that a non-powered system uses a manual pump connected to the steering wheel (Capilano Pump typically). An on-demand type booster pump like a Sea Star can be added to this type of system. To use a full power steering constant duty pump like an automobile pump or a Verado pump, requires a valve that is controlled via the steering wheel (Char Lynn valve). This type of valve is used also on large earth-moving equipment. Four hoses are required to be plumbed to the valve. Attached is an excerpt for the Verado pump installation manual. Yes ! Lets keep it simple , I had many conversations with Imco on this issue . You simply use and open center helm , AKA same helm used for I.O with belt driven pump , pick the CC , this is the amount of fluid it will pump and directly related to lock to lock ratio . You do not have to use the vererdo helm . There are also other ways to lower lock to lock as in looping top or bottoms on each ram , this will cut in half lock to lock and has been done many times before , this is a whole another option .

how much water intrusion were you guys seeing in the twin outboards with stock cowls? I have watched the video of how it gets in but that was on a single.
