Install right hand prop on LH rotation. Put motor in reverse and use it to get on plane. After running 40mph on one engine 6miles from ramp run stbd tank (good motor) out of gas.
Idle with port motor 20 gallons left in reverse with R/H prop to ramp. Got boat on trailer around 6:00pm.
Repairs/gear case swap tomorrow. HP Boating at its best!!!
I love this sport.
Dayum! And I thought I had a rough weekend. Sorry to hear you had a bad time.

I had a trip just like that when I got my boat!
Turns out there was a batch of bad valve stems imported from China that were deteriorating in the sun. Also passenger car low pressure valve stems instead of high pressure rated steel stems. Lost four tires on the road total. Last one the remains wrapped around the axle and took out the brake line.
All rebuilt and replace now. Trailer flats on the road suck!!

Need to change trailer tires every 3-4yrs whether they need it or not. That is a bad deal too.
FP did manage to have some fun. Also already fixed MAP sensor today. We had the computer on it and found a bad TPI switch that would only fail the last 5percent of WOT and throw a fault code. Part on the way.
Lower unit at TNT.
Could have been worse. These are problems that can be fixed.

Are you talking about the motor?
The newer computers motorola ones that have smartcraft need a computer with the mercury software on it that only a dealer has access to. I use the guys at TNT when needed.
Have learned a lot about these motors already.
