Hey David, The additional width of the boat is ten inches at 10' 2" wide. I was told the tunnel width is 48" on the stock boat. Tony at skater said a quick measurement on my boat was somewhere around 60 inches.I was thinking it should be around 58 inches if the whole boat was widened 10 inches. Said it was hard to get a good read because of the way the boat was sitting. Measurement was at the rear of the tunnel. Ill ask him to confirm it when he has a chance. Steve.
Do you guys know if the "official" tunnel width measurement would be taken at the very bottom of the tunnel including the additional width inside the rails?
I know that a 32b measures 48" up higher in the tunnel from one side to the other but if you drop down with the tape and include the rails at the very bottom you end up with 52"
My 36 is 51" and 55" respectively. Any thoughts? Thanks

You would have to think the measurement is taken from the higher point on the tunnel. When I was speaking to someone earlier on this they gave me a measurement of 48 inches for my tunnel stock on the 308. I believe it was measured from the higher point. Steve.

[QUOTE=Nastybug;4226691]Well Craig needs to finish boiling mud bugs down in Louisiana for a few minutes and go measure a 308 tunnel for us. I. Would but my boat is far far away right now. I had the measurements for a widened 308 and an actual pattern when I built my tilt trailer but have no idea where they are now. If I find them I will post. I do have some photos of the process involved in splitting and widening the hull.

Sides are made higher then cut down for the deck

Deck is made on a table and installed in one piece. This one was waiting to be set on a 46'er

skate thanks for sharing, that is really cool to see and I always wondered how they made the flat decks. Are you going to be building another skater soon or are the 300x going on your 308?
