With tanks done.
So.......If you give me a new hull, you can not do a 300xs boat with Garmin, interior, stereo and props for under $100k unless you can do the work yourself.
Trailer is worth $5k.
I pretty much ended up with hull, trailer, and new interior for $52,500. Look at my build thread and you will see how you can spend $100k fast.
Just my opinion......buy something done that someone (like me) got excited, went overboard, and is now ready to do something else. I wish I would have bought the blue 28 from up north with a new Skater trailer, new paint, new interior, 2 year old motors, analog gages for $100k. I would have $60K + spare change to put into our race boat then and shill have a nice 28

Oh well, it's only money.....TRUMP is President so I'm gonna get keep more of what I earn so it was all worth it!!!

Remember it is about the Journey! You only live once as you say LOL.
We all spend too much on our boats. That is what you do when you are passionate about something.
Someone who is serious and knows what things good things cost will come along.
Most have no idea what it costs to do things right.

No regrets here my friend......just want all my Skater brothers to have a real dose of reality and know what doing this really costs.

You build them to use and not to sell! That stuff adds up quick and typically nobody really appreciates it if you decide to sell. When I sold my 28 there were 7 on the market. I had to part it out to get my money back. The motors went to New Zealand! When I re-rigged the 308 with 400Rs the parts sold quick at 50% of retail plus shipping.
Like one of my patients once said it's only money and I can make more of that.

Real close to 3 years invested, about year 1 1/2, I threw away all receipts and stopped collecting them. ........... I didn't really want to know.
It's done now, and I'm "Lovin it"
No doubt its expensive, rather you do the work or pay to have it done .......... But it's worth it.
We're no doubt crazy, it's why we all get along so well.

This is Todd Lambs wife in the add. I would read the thread above "Skater deal gone bad" as it references his past dealings.
