Looks like you got your Merc cleavers on or is that wrong. Was wondering if you saw any speed improvements over the Dewalds. Steve.

The merc cleavers are not as fast as the dewalds... yet???, 32 pitch 114 mph, 23.5 psi water pressure, 6950 rpm. They plane much much easier, and accellerate better. Need to go up higher, and try some 33.5 and 34s. Also will trim /cut the water dams to the shape DW has on thier 32 race boats. Its 94 degrees, 95% humidity, and water temps of 91 degrees in the gulf now. Hard for the 400s to make power, compared to cooler climates. The cnc mercs are larger diameter, water pressure with the dewalds was 13-14psi at the same height as the mercs with 23 psi. There is a lot of variables in the setup of these. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge i tap into with the Skater Brothers. I like the 32cnc best so far, i like the accelleration better than waiting 2-3 miles for the boat to top out at a speed we will seldom run. Its a fun boat.

The Dewald’s with a hub are an extension of the gear case creating lift in the transom. Thus in theory making the motors higher. This will also have more of an effect on keeping the bow down also.
