Carbon is on and post baked ! Time to wrap this up and get the deck on.
total this whole section was 2 layers of carbon all one unit. To spread load. Wasn’t pieced together. It just looks like sections due to the peel ply pieces in the layup. All one. All wet!

Looking good! I had a hell of a time to cut the sponson joint up in front of my chriscat, thinking of the day i had to go back in this tight spot to fiberglass back hull and deck together!
thought about using brush and roller taped on a stick or something like that will see when i get there or use your experience when i read how you did yours!

Finally making some more headway on the project. After a week or two of walking by it between other actual paying projects , we have a new game plan. Should have the deck on this week. (I know, I’ve said that for a month) we locked the deck back down (it popped the tab) on the bulkhead. Trimmed and cleaned up the bulkhead before locking it back down. Fixed a few small fractures in the Kevlar on the bulkhead. Staggered the core back 4” to overlap it and brace the seam on the bulkhead. Couple pics. Not much to look at. But we’re making progress !

Well the boat wasn’t done for shootout like we hoped. Or even close. Hard to find time on it with such a busy shop this year. Can’t complain. We got the deck fully on. Full Kevlar internal tabbing as factory. Need to tab the outside and get it into bodywork. Me a while we are going to be moving down the rear of the boat and getting that easy stuff taken care of.
