Default " In The Clear" 40SS Rebuild

This site is pretty dead these days, but i figured i would post my rebuild of the former UB Violated on here for those who would be interested in the project. Boat sustained damage from a wreck in 2013. I purchased the boat from Jeffs son this summer and finally got it inside to get working on it. With approval from, just about all, of the individuals of the families, along with Peter at skater we will be rebuilding the boat. Our goal is to showcase everything we at Upstate Powerboat are capable of, coupled to honor the guys who were lost in the boat years ago. Along with to show the incredible build quality of what skater builds. If you do not support the project, i would respectfully ask you to keep it to yourself.

The boat will be named "In The Clear" and hopefully will be ready to unveil for 1000 islands poker run this upcoming summer as long as we can get the time between customers boats to get it going. Deconstruction has already started. So with that, we are starting the build thread!

Looks like another heck of a project! As far as thoughts for paint, you’re probably trying to keep the original colors, but I think replacing the green with blue would be hot.

You know....when I first saw Jeff's boat in person I was like "who would paint their boat with those colors...but after seeing it more and more (and meeting Jeff), it grew on me and my thinking turned to "man, those colors are bad azz!!"
Looking forward to the thread!!

I always liked the original paint but your rendering looks even better. I was at that poker run when the accident happened. We were in the slow group and drove up on the boat, it was a sickening feeling knowing something really bad happened. RIP to those men.
Good luck with your project and hopefully you can bring her back to new

Following.

Bittersweet seeing the boat again. RIP Jeff and Brad.

I like where you are headed with the graphics/colors. Nice tribute to without looking too much like the original.
