Need help with the hop. We installed a pair of Mercury Racing 565 paired with Imco set back boxes and drives. We are in the beginning stages of testing and adjusting. 1.5 gears, Hydromotive 34” 5 blade props. With this setup, we do not have enough Prop. Our new lowers with 1.34 gears should be in this week. Can someone help educate us on minimizing the hop? This boat starts hopping around 60 and doesn’t stop until after 100.

You have several tools at hand. They include
1. Weight distribution
2. Trim and prop shaft height
3. Type of propeller
4. Tunnel tab
However, wait until you know what the hop is like with the right gearing and propeller. If it still annoys you at that point, do something about it.
