I've got to agree with Apache21. The 21 with twins looks like it's gonna sink when it's sittin still. I have not been in a 21 with twins but people who have them say they like em. The excelleration must be facinating. I still don't think that you can just bolt 2 on. It's not quite that simple.

I agree there has to be alot more to it than just bolting them on. I own a collsion repair shop so I have alot of fiberglass and painting skills and the facility to do it right I just need to do some more research to find out what I need to do to beef up the transom. Iam more worried about getting the set up right. Not sure about set back or if they should be in align with the sponsons keels or closer together. I have read some posts from people that have had twins and they loved them. You just have to have alot of respect when you are running. The low water line on the transom is true Iam thinking maybe ballast tanks in front so I can adjust the cg as needed. iam going to pick up a nice 21 next saturday. How does the single fly are they flat in the air or bow up? Do they need more weight to the bow at times? or will minor trim adjustments set them right every time in all water conditions?

I don't think it will fit. About the twins don't do it. I talked to a guy that had twins on his 21 and spent lots of $$$$ and said every time he was in the rough the nose would point straight to the Sky. He even put weight in the front sponsoms and it still rode like crap. 100mph is as fast as you want to go in a 21. I think osprey and I would rather you play it safe. Also resale would be better.

Not to rub it in...but we have had two weeks in the 70's and today was no different. That being said, we chalked up another day on the water for 2005. I sure can't complain! After I flushed the motor I read your post...then took some pics so you could see just how high the boat sits. It could be different on a different trailer, but you should still be below the 7 foot range. The first two pics are with the motor jacked up 8 inches, the second two are of the motor all the way nown. The measuring tape is set at 7' including the body of the tape.

These are with the motor jacked all the way down. Looks like about 6'4 all the way down.

I wouldn't bother with twins on the 21. The 21 rides nice and flat with a single 300....and you really don't want any added weight to any cat. They don't like it. The 300 is the perfect combo. There is another 21 Skater on S&F that already has the 300 Pro Max on it. Looks to be in good shape....25K asking price. I'll post the link.
