Sonic Cabin Mirror Material & Buffing??
#1
As I'm going through cleaning the cabin, I find that overspray glue on the fiberglass only comes up with a brillo. So... I see some stuff on the mirror that didn't come off with cleaner and I figure the brillo will get it off.. well it did and also scratched the mirror which I'm assuming isn't the normal household mirror glass.
So now I have a brillo scratch mark on the mirror.. What are these things made of and is there any chance of buffing them out somehow???

The mirror is a form of plastic. If the scratches are not deep it can be buffed out with a compound and then a polish. Use items similar to what you would use on the fiberglass. There is also a plastic polish kit out that has 3 products in it, compound, polish and clean. I don't remember the name but try doing a search.
If the scratches are deep then sand with a DA and 800/1200 then compound/polish.
