I tee'd mine to the sink drain so it drains overboard (got the idea off the Sonic forum a couple of years back), why the factory can't do this I'll never know. Sonic's not to big on making any updates
But the cooler is one of their better ideas!

my 98 prowler drains into the bilge, keeps ice about a day.the only pain is when your popping some good waves the door pops open(old style latch with the 2 balls to hold the pecker in)only thing that could come to my mind.

I like the indash cooler a lot. I just wished that it didn't drain to the bilge area since my engine compartment is painted yellow, so cooler water from the bilge collects there and has stained the bottom of the bilge- and the boat doesn't take on water from anyplace else.
I guess that I could be having much bigger problems than this to worry about

I thought about plumbing mine into the sink drain, but the drain from the built in cooler is lower than the sink outlet (by about a foot i thought). I didn't think the water would be able to run uphill to be able to exit out the side????

On a 38 the cooler holds a 30 pack and enough Ice for a day. On mine it drains to the same line which connects to the sink going over board. I installed a ball valve to keep cold ice water in the cooler, it seemed to make the ice last longer.
