I just meant atleast they seem tobe making boats again, maybe nothing new but they hopefully are producing them again, so it seems, as for making something again from 10-15 years ago, yeah im a chevy guy and if they stil made the same body style like in 95 i would buy a new one in a heart beat, i had my 95 for 10 years and was much better then my 2005!!

I take 'rendering' as a drawing for the paint. It looks fresh. NIce colors and something new from today, not the last decade.

I still have my 1968 Chevelle. I would buy it again
new in a heartbeat! I would also buy a new 1962 Corvette!
Some designs are timeless. The USAF B-52 has been
around for a long time and will be for some time.

Now you can improve the accessories. Like
engines, drives, electronics.....

I would take a new 42 in a heart beat. The ride, room and speed of a boat this size is amazing. A 42 Fountain Executioner with the same power is only 6 mph faster. Don't get me wrong, I love the Fountain but I wouldn't give up the ride, room and safety of the non stepped Sonic for 6 mph. I'm sure the poker run group would disagree but to each his own.

Maybe the new owners of Sonic will come up with a new design like Cig did with the 39 someday but Cig didn't drop the Tog Gun for it.

I don't like it when manufactures do R & D at the consumers expense. Give me the old time proved any day over the new maybe it will work.

I don't think if they still built the same cars now that they did 30-40 years ago you would want them that much. Everybody would have one, they would just be cars. If it never was a NEW HOT car that jumped out at you we would just keep the same old stuff just to get around in. Yes the old cars are cool I own a lot of old stuff but I like the new hot stuff too, but the old stuff is cool because not that many are out there and they were the chit in their day.

I loved my 42, I had 4 great trouble free years of fun on that boat, but it would take a big change to get me to buy another 42 or 386 or 45. Even if they keep the same bottom they could change the liner. Look at my 50 Nortech, it's the same bottom they use now but the whole dash and cockpit is new and different.

I have had the same woman for 15 years, done the same job for 20, my 4 best friends I have had since before I was 10. I need to change it up a little every now and then. As far as the step bottom I gotta agree with that. I wont buy just any step boat it has to be one like my Nortech or other top builder I want to be safe first then fast I have cranked it into some pretty hard tuns and it feel's awesome and I have been in some stuff that all I wanted was out.

I like the good old Sonic don't get me wrong they fill a very nice niche. Always have and always will if they don't mess things up.

My point is simple....IT"S A DRAWING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A drawing does not a boat make. A drawing does not mean a company is building boats. It doesn't mean a damn thing except they hired a graphics company to do a theroretical drawing.

Show me some fiberglass!!!!!!!!!!
