Old to OSO... new to SONIC!
#1
Hi all,
Just wanted to jump in and say hi as a new sonic owner. Picking up a 2001 26 in Va. Beach next weekend. I have had 3 Bajas in the past, last was a twin 502 pwrd 302. I'm in Tampa now and the Sonic will be plenty big- and cost less money - kids going to college soon.
It has a 496 HO and full steering + labbed prop. I was reading the thread on Prowler speed / ease of maintaince and decided I wanted the steering over the HP 500 boat that was also out there. Yeah, I know, but the SMartCraft gauges and motor is a little bit more high-tech than the HP.
Later!

I might be talink to you creeper about blowing it (mildly). I had a 272 Shooter with a B&M 250 charged 454 maggie.
It was fun but squirrly at spped. I assume a 26 is rock solid for this power.
Here it starts once again...
