Default Are shoe box joints still glassed?

I was looking at new 386 specs and they state the hull and deck are integrally bonded and bolted together. Is that glassed like previousely or are they using plexus ?

I think this pic of the 2007 31ss at offshore performance show they are not glassed. My 1997 31SS didn't need these angle reinforcement between the floor and the rear of the seat. This pic is of the space under the rear seat.

Actually, that is incorrect. The photo you've posted shows a portion of the forward engine-room bulkhead under the back seat that is not a structural part of the inner-liner layup....it doesn't have any bearing on the hull-deck joint, which is glassed/bonded/screwed in areas such as the engine room and cabin where the inner joint is readily accessible. The engine-room/bilge is now also faired/finished/painted to a smooth finish very similar to the bilges in the Cigarettes. Spray Nine and a clean towel will easily wipe it clean.

Thanks for the clarification Hugh. I didn't mean to say that pic showed the joint, I just thought the extra reinforcement showed perhaps the 3 pieces werent put together the same as they used to be. Boats that are glassed together (and don't cost $750K) are getting rare. It is good to hear Sonic is still going the extra mile. The smooth bilge sounds fantastic. My 386's is painted yellow, but is still hard to clean due to the roughness. I noticed the bilge in your 2007 31SS looks much nicer than in the past.
