I was just out on the Mississippi a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I traveled 80+ miles from Red Wing to Alma and back. I had never been past the northern edge of Lake Pepin before and it's very scenic. A Bald Eagle flew right over us. We had lunch at the Pickle Factory in Pepin. That muddy water killed my seawater pumps, though. The next time out , I started getting hot and went into guardian mode at WOT on the port engine. I was able to make it back the 12 miles at cruise. Both of my pump impellers looked great, but there was a ton of grooving in the housing top and bottom. I just finished installing R&R stainless rebuild kits and both engines stayed at 160°. I don't know how you guys run the Mississippi all the time. My boat was filthy! Hopefully, I'll make it down for the Liquid Jungle Poker Run this year and see you there.
