You can get this boat with 377 Scorpions in it factory. If you have a good engine builder that you use, you caould easily build a pair of 383 cubic inch motors with Dart heads and probably go in the mid to upper 70's. More like mid's. We have put big blocks in this boat but boy is it tight. Takes the better part of 2 hours just to put spark plugs in it.

Yes the 28 has a seperate head. Its a curtain or a door which ever you order it with. It even has a sink in the bathroom and a cabinet.

I just bought a 97 28ss. I am in Northern VT so could take you out in it this summer to see how you like the size and feel of the 28.

Friend of mine had 28ss sonic and he hated it. Twin 6.2, ran true 60mph sometimes a little better. Porpoised alot which is why there may have bin aftermarket tabs on the one. They sure are pretty boats with great lines. Id go 31, they stopped makind 28 after 2001 because single engine prowler performed identicle and side by side the look exacly the same minus 1 foot on swim platform and 28 had pull out in cabin to sleep 4. Just my experience.
