My port side bolster bracket broke (upper tabs break away from plate) this last summer. The tabs on mine were welded only on the outside, I had them welded but all the way around the tabs hoping they will hold. The plate slips out and back in from under the seat back after removing the SS grab handle and undoing the vinyl. I removed mine in the fall from the seat base and brought it home to work on over the winter. As said above, not fun but needed.
