Sonic dude
I run a 24p bravo on mine with a 496 ho. I tried a 23 p mirage and did not like the way the boat handled and excelerated. It seemed slugish. Mine would run around 70 and then one day just slowed down. I changed spark plugs and the speed came back. I also tried different Gps's and the speed would vary up to 5 mph. Have you tried another gps? Good luck

Tony, thanks for the PM. I just changed my plugs for the start of the new season. I know they have at least 45 hours on them; the 45 I put on the boat last season. I know a lot of people go with every 100 hours. I would go ahead and swap them to start the season, just to keep a handle on corrosion risks; (rust on the outer parts).
I hope your trip to Florida is a nice one!

sydwayz23, yea the factory trip to fla. should be good. i run a 23p mirage plus with 502 mpi mag lab finished to run 5000rpms at 69-70gps, some people run a 24p bravo1 with same 502 mpi or the new 496 ho and probably run a lower rpm and speed unless they lab finish to get the rpms back . i know people with the 500 hp in the 26 prowler running a 25p mirage plus or 26p bravo 1 i'm sure thats what you should be running.the 500 hp should be running 74mph ish gps.

26sonic,
You asked about the Baja comparison a few days ago. I came across a picture of both boats on "trade-in day".
Also, wanted to thank all you guys for your replys. Here's what I think I'll do this season.
- try both 23P Mirage and 24P B1 (get whichever one works best labbed)
- I got a good deal on some k-planes, so on they'll go
- Get a K&N
- get rid of all the stuff my wife keeps on board "just in case" (only joking, maybe ..)
I also go to the factory and see if they have any suggestions.
The boat won't be in the water for another month or so, but I'll keep you posted on my progress.
