Anyone know what the 4 thru hull fittings between the exhausts are?

Appears to be sea water outlets for dry exhaust. It's hard to see from the bilge pic if those CMI's are dry exhaust, or if the outlets are from a previous exhaust system.

I think the boat is nice but agree the dash is hideous. I have never seen a sonic with scoops on the engine hatch either. Not sure why it needed those or if it's just for looks. I really like the different interior color scheme used on this. Has a little more luxury than performance feel. It does say that it is a repo boat so I wonder if it is the boat that sat and rotted for years?

It is a boat Kirk with Elite Marine and I brought back to life. The boat is not rotted (you guys kill me LOL) and is in mint condition. It has 50 hours on it. The engines have ZERO hours on fresh 500EFI's. This paint is flawless and shines like it just came out of the paint booth. The interior is mint. The dash is really sharp in person. The low resolution pictures do not do it justice. The boat is a repo that did not have power. All the electronics were missing and now replaced with new. The fittings on the transom were for air hose to switchable Livorsi mufflers. It now has CMI headers and tails (wet). The BMax drives are fresh with ITS transom assemblies with internal steering very similar to a Number Six Drive. Very expensive and very strong. This was a very, very expensive boat when new and is now a true bargain. Like buying a brand new boat for 1/3 the price. Give Scott Shogren a call.

The black gauges tie in real nice with all the black carbon fiber panels everywhere in the boat. The dash, the counter tops, the five light bars and the main panel are all real carbon fiber! $$$$$$$ It even has lighted acrylic handles.
The hull bottom looks new and the $40,000 paint job is flawless.

Do the gauges have a shield of some sort over them?

Brad Zastrow 09-14-2010 09:38 AM

All Sonics have a plexiglass cover over the dash. Nice touch to keep everything out of the elements.

Thanks for clarifying for us. The engines have 0 hours, have you guys had the boat in the water at all? Short run on Lake MI?

Our 31's along with the 26 and early 35's didn't have the gauge covers. The larger sonics all had the plexiglass cover over the gauges until recently with the redesigned helm dashes.

OK, OK so it has 20 minutes....Sea trial time only. Ran great!!!
I should have brought candy with as it was a parade float with all the photos and questions about the boat.
