Default Prowler Gas Vapor Sensor Location

Can anyone tell me where the gas vapor detector sensor location is in the engine compartment? The literature I got with the Prowler says it should be located somewhere around the starter.

Should be on the stringer around the starter

If not there check the bulk head at the front of the engine.

Indeed, the starter is going to be the first point from where sparks could escape and cause vapor ignition. You also want it as low as possible since gas vapors are heavier than air and tend to sit low in the bilge. But of course not low enough to get wet.
