The 31 is a nice boat. Lots of nice stuff to say about it. Good luck and have fun with her.

As you climb in size up thru the Sonic line, you will really begin to appreciate what really nice boats they produce. Its amazing what difference a few feet can make.

The 31 is the all around most fun sonic to drive. It used to be called the "Hardbody", and for good reason. It does handle the waves like a tank. Congratulations, that is a great set up.

45Tripps,
I agree with you completely. I had my 31 for 5 years and thought it was an awsome wave crusher. I got the opportunity to ride on a 42 this past weekend at Lake Cumberland Poker run. It took every wave thrown at it and I barely mowed inside the cockpit. Amazing what 11 feet does. Hopefully one day I can get one.

Great news and congrats! I think the 31' is my favorite Sonic.
Still has some of the classic lines and big enough to behave like a large boat.

Pix's please.

you may need to lab the prop's to pick up another 200 to 300 rpm and a couple mph

have fun

Default sonic

will probably do so over the winter.... but just trying to get it running and a few hours on it... I was happy to break 70.... there are not many boats in my area that will do more than that.. and at my age I do not want to do 90....

Something doesn't sound right here. My 496HO's were all over the rev limiter with 26's. I now run labbed 28's and can spin them to 5100 in cool weather and about 4900 in 90° heat. Does anyone know if the 8.2 ECM's might limit the power during break-in?

Post some pics from Long Island. Are you running in the race?
