I have a 35ss sonic with 725's . Last year I had a problem carrying the bow, at 85mph the boat was bow steering. I tried everything , props, blueprint bottom, remove all wet foam from boat, spin props in, nose cones...... Nothing helped . My prop shafts were 7" below the bottom so as it turns out the boat was acually tripping on the drives an high speeds and pushing the bow down.
I pulled the motors had the transom all filled in and raised the engines and drives 4" . Now prop shafts are 3" below bottom of boat . I bought a pair of low water pick up lowers. The transom is finished and the gimbles , steering , are reinstalled at the new height. I only have the motors to swing back inplace and start testing props. I'm hoping for 100 mph .

Hey Johnny ,
Yes measuring your boat helped , thanks again
I can have the boat done in a week but not in a rush because of the weather. I spoke with reggie fountain before I raised everything , he says it should be a drastic improvement . Mark Schneff agrees. I ran the motors on Zuls dyno this winter for tuning reasons and to see what RPM should prop the boat for. Made 725 hp with conservative timing on pump gas. Reggie thinks over 100 mph . I was looking for info from anyone that has gone over 100 in a 35' sonic but nobody on here had commented.
Looking forward to a good summer, I hope I see you out there
