Labbed the prop.
Dinged it up first time out; so I could not tell you.

LOL

Actually, last time out this season, I went to 16 inch Bennett Trim Tabs (from 12s). The boat handled fantastically; probably similar to K-planes. It was an easy upgrade. The boat turned smoother, and planed with much less effort and throttle. As far as speed, I bet I did not gain anything; as they are out of the water at speed. It was flat that day, so not sure of rough water prowess changes.

Offshore Performance has a 98 26 with a Stage 4 procharger & intercooler that is rumored to run in the 80's. Some chine walk was reported when running all out. Not sure of how severe. Think Jay ran the boat. Gut traded it on a Fountain with prochargers they had in stock !

Engine started out as a 502/415 MPI engine. Still has stock exhaust. Didnt change over to CMI or Gills though !

Nor does that pro-charged boat have hydraulic steering.

The best bang for the buck is a supercharger for big gains. I think you have been basically asking the same questions for over a yr now. The modified ECU, exuast change, labbed prop, air cleaner, etc, etc, etc. is nothing but a big disapointment and wasted money.

How much speed are you looking for? 2, 3, 5 mph? You won't even notice a difference in the feel of the boat with those minor gains.

If you want 10-15 mph you have 2 choices. Rebuild the entire motor or supercharge.

Or replace the motor with larger.
