First time out
#1
Well after 10 months of MAJOR repairs and delays I finally got out in the sound this week end. I'm no longer a virgin.....I now know what every one talks about when they say how well the Sonic handles the rough water. I was running 52 with 4 adults on board in 3-5 foot seas, I still had 2000 rpm left and I could have pulled the drives out more. (I know, it's not that fast but it was my first time playing out there). The ride was sooooo sweet I'm still thinking about it, and can't wait till next weekend!
When I got back to the dock a guy comes up to look at the boat and he told me how rough it was today, and how they all got wet coming over from Greenport, LI, I just had to smile.....

I was up the river on Sat. Too many no wake zones for me though, but it is a beautiful place to ride. These 30' Sonics really handle the water great. I keep the trim around 2.5 to 3 on the indicators when it is rough. Normall cruising I keep it around 4.5. WOT I'll go up to 7!!! I'll be out again this weekend. Do you feel up to a trip to Greenport?
