I am looking at a number of 28ss( . . . 's?), some with small blocks and some with big blocks. I was curious if anyone out there had a 28 and wanted to know what their thoughts on the boaty were. Also, if anyone has air in one, is it worth the chips? Sonic has a '93 on their web site that looks nice, but cannot seem to get ahold of anyone to talk about it. At any rate, let me know if anyone has comment.

Hey Weas'
In a 28SS, the preferred power package would probably be like Atomic's(350Mag MPI's bravo) or the 6.2MX bravo package. A little less weight w/ equivalent
hp as compared to the base 454's.
I've seen a couple w/AC, but you'll have to decide how much time you are going to spend in the cabin, hooked up to shore power, to take advantage of the option.

Last year when I was shopping for a boat it came down to a Donzi 26ZX or the Prowler. I knew I could not go wrong with either. Now I want something a little bigger and am thinking about a 28ss with the small blocks in it. Obviously I would like to be shopping for a 31 but due to parking accomadations and wife in school will have to wait a few years. Wanted to know what kind of speeds with a normal load I could see with the 28?? I would look at the prowler again but since I have the same size boat now with the 26ZX kind of hard to see moving that way which is why I am thinking about the 28. Always go bigger right

Olemiss...
IMHO, it is not worth upgrading for two feet. The 28SS is a GREAT boat, but wait and go for the 31SS in 2 seasons, and you will not be disappointed. The 31SS is in a whole new league, giving you what others i.e. Fountain have to offer in the 32-35 range. You can always find a place to park.
