Joe pools parking lot could be underwater soon with anymore rain. Now they are talking about snakes in the water. How about all the damn Mosquitoes and flies all over the place.
15.33 over pool this morning, still coming up around 1.5' a day like it has for two weeks nearly. Bad news is it's fixin to start pouring all over the water shed area. Calling for at least two inches new rain today. It's going over the spillway. Shreveport Louisiana better start stacking sand bags now.

Are there any ramps still open? Buncomombe creek marina just closed today.
The gates were opened Monday and the lake still came up over a foot. It's +18 today. 7inches of rain fell in the water shed yesterday I bet it goes over the spillway even with the gates open. Rain in the forecast everyday.

I just need to launch so I can get boat on my floater, I hope they stay open!
Where's the floater? I think all the marinas have the power shutoff to the boathouses.
I have my own dock with a generator, so I'm good on electricity.

Flood pool is full as of today. Has anyone seen if it is going over the spillway?
10-4 it's over the spillway this morning. All gate are wide open and the lake inflow is double the release rate. This might be the 100 year event. All time high was 644. It's just over 640 now.

No going back now. Hope down stream has prepared. Ample warning had been given
This has been the highest rain fall recorded ever. Unreal go from one extreme to the other. Joe pool parking lot is under water. Not that I boat there but it is close to me. If you ever want to receive a comic view point show up at Joe Pool on a busy Saturday afternoon and watch the fun along with I can't believe they did that.
Inflow at 10 am today was 257,839 CFS. Out flow with six gates wide open, both generators at full bore and current level 1.83' over the spillway is 45,000 CFS. Man it's going WAY OVER in the next few days. It's come up over a foot and a half since it went over. Pulling a pretty good current over the top now. Another multi inch round of rain in forecast for tomorrow.

pictures from yesterday. The island bar under water to the roof. The dock next to mine broke loose and hit ours Saturday. Luckily no boat damage yet. if ours cuts loose we go into multi million dollar boats. keep posting sideways sorry |
That's just wild. Thank you for sharing those pix
Worse than 07'. I heard there was a dock that broke loose and was headed for the 377 bridge.
The water looks inviting for a swim, I think the sewer water is not even that brown. Just messin
this weekend what a wash out for many in the DFW area. The rain is a real pain currently. Way to much and not even good areas around the house stuff is wet all the time. |
just got a call from a dock mate our dock broke loose and is against zh dock big money there, a 2.5 mil Prestige they are not going to be happy. I doubt the marina will bother calling us.
Hwy 70 bridge closed due to flooding. That's some high water
How much is flowing in now? Release is 101,000 CDs. How is it still rising? Mind boggling.
645.06' 0900 5/27/15. All time record high for Lake Texoma.

That's crazy
Drug the boat down to Ray Hubbard. Trash in that lake but not terrible. Texoma was a mess from what we saw. All ramps closed.

Looks like we are about to go through it all again!
Yup- sucks !!
I was up there a couple of weeks ago and the water still was way off color. The area has been pounded with heavy rain since then. May be another chitty summer coming up. I don't do orange water.
