Last I heard the present ownership gave up the ghost.
What pisses me off is guy who owns "The Pier" closed for winter,
when he got the lease on the old "Shades" one of the provisions was
he had to stay open year round .

Anyways I hope we dont get too much more rain , we need time for all the junk floating around to sink back down or wash up on shore. Water is real murky now too, takes a while after a big rain for it to clear back up. Saying its goona be freezing again tonight.
Have I mentioned I really really hate winter?

I didn't realize The Pier closed in the winter. So I guess that left Cafe Blue to eat when the water was down.

I remember after the last flood, the water seemed kind of murky that whole next summer. Hopefully that won't be the case this year.

BTW, thanks for the votes guys, I pulled out the win!

I follow The Pier on Twitter (thepierlaketravis) -- got message from them saying they're going to be opening up Fridays - Sundays staring in a week or two.

Right now all the gulleys and creeks on my property are flowing like nuts into Lake and it hasnt rained since yesterday, I swear there is water coming out of the rocks themselves!
I would guess even with no rain we will be at 675 by next week.
I WISH THIS CRAPPY COLD WEATHER WOULD GO AWAY!!!!

I called Fins just to check and they still have the same message from when they closed a year ago and the website hasnt been updated since either.

I bet there are waterfalls in Cow Creek then!

That suck about Finns, that was one of my favorites. I'm not a big C&C fan, I've gotten irritated there more than once. The food at The Pier was pretty good and had a good atmosphere. Cafe Blue has a badazz burger and good fried calmari. The Lake House Cafe in Briarcliff is one of my favorites for Sunday breakfast/brunch!

What else is there on the lake (by boat) to eat and drink?

The drive is back on. And the boat ramp right down the road is open! We planned on taking it for a short ride on Saturday, but I got the boat and truck stuck in the yard. I got some funny pics! Finally got them unstuck late saturday, so I ran the motors on the hose to make sure all was good before dropping it in. Had a leaking water pump. The piston that moves up and down when you air it up and release the air to open and close the drain plug had a busted o-ring. I took the pump down to Ski Dock to see if they could give me the correct o-ring. Nope. But, they did have a brand new pump for $600 that they wanted to sell me. Found the correct o-ring at Ace for $0.59. All is good now. Ready to go!

Ed - tell Lola that there is someone on Party Heat (Aquapalooza) episode looking for her. He keeps yelling "Lola!"

With regards to eateries on the lake...

looks like Sail & Ski is finally getting started with their waterfront restaurant in the Hurst Creek arm of the lake (before you get to Fins). I did hear someone say they wanted to be in business before the summer.

The Grill in Rough Hollow has great food at reasonable prices. It's a bit higher end atmosphere, great for an evening out with the significant other.
