What is the 454 currently? Rectangle ports? Carb?
How many hours on the bottom end?

Those are the first question the builder is going to ask.

Second question the builder is going to ask, "How much money do you have?" We need to calculate how fast you can go.

As far as I know they can give you a discount for cash but not a up charge for credit card.

In Texas it’s against the Law. Derebery Performance in Dallas tried to charge me a CC fee a few years ago and they lost a sale and customer because of it. It’s also against merchant card holder agreement.

§ 339.001. IMPOSITION OF SURCHARGE FOR USE OF CREDIT
CARD. (a) In a sale of goods or services, a seller may not impose
a surcharge on a buyer who uses a credit card for an extension of
credit instead of cash, a check, or a similar means of payment.
(b) This section does not apply to a state agency, county,
local governmental entity, or other governmental entity that
accepts a credit card for the payment of fees, taxes, or other
charges.

Amended by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 62, § 7.18(a), eff. Sept. 1,
1999.

They can charge you whatever they want. You can refuse to pay the fee and they can refuse to accept your credit card. Simple as that. Why should Derebery have to eat 3% because you don't have the cash to pay for services?
