I am giving it some serious thought. It looks pretty cool to be running thru the swamps. I will need to replace trailer bearings and seals first (one days work). Travel time is not an issue nor diesel. But where to stay, ramps etc. I have also found that not being from the area on some of these runs. That docking space may need to be reserved. Or does the sign up fee reserve you a spot? Do the stops include meals? Sign-up fees? etc. etc. I have been on the Tickfall web site but I would like to find this out before I say "Let's Go" Thanks Mark

The fee only covers your entry fee into the poker hand. They have cabins to rent at blood River marina, and they do have slips you can get for the weekend. We are staying in Madisonville and getting slips at Marina Del Ray, about an hour boat ride to blood River, and a lot closer to hotels.

Yep. You can roll in the day of the event. Must have cash though. They have free docking around the marina if it is at the same place but it isn't secure. That said, I don't think anyone has had issues in the past. Great event!

We are planning on going for the 1st time as well. Do people leave their boats in the water and go to a hotel at night and leave their trailer at Blood River Marina? Do people take their boat out of the water every day? Or do a lot of people just sleep on their boats! I'm trying to figure out the trend!
