LAriverratt is correct about Casey having all the answers.

That said, people do all options you mentioned. We have stayed in Hammond and pulled out each night. We have stayed closer to the festivities and left the boat in the water. Near the marina there is bulkhead for days and there are often boats rafted off 3-4 wide over night. Ideally you'd raft off to boaters you know but not required. You don't want to be the last guy to raft and the last guy to show up the next day, but that goes without saying. Everyone is pretty relaxed and honest around those parts the best I can tell. The only time I ever saw someone upset was a biker who quickly got arrested after being rude to someone on the poker run. He was a di(k and the poker run brings in a ton of revenue for this area. I am sure they want to keep that going. Even the police appear to be helpful without being a-holes. Just my perception.

I can't get a hold of Casey or Bloodriver Marina. I called and emailed Bloodriver a couple of times that is on their website. No reply on email and their contact phone number is a fax machine. I called and emailed Casey from your link above. No email return and his phone has a message from his service provider that he is not available. Maybe he is out catching Alligators. I just need to know about RVs, availability for space at Bloodriver and rates. If they are booked, I need to know. I can't believe they don't have a phone at the marina that is not a fax. You would think they have some sort of staff that works there during the day to answer calls. I can't even leave a message. In the last 2
Days I have made 6 phone calls and left 2 emails. I'll try again tomorrow.........I guess....is the place even open?

They are open just not always standing by the phone. Casey may be out of town but he will get back with you.

Finally got contact with Blood River Marina. They have been out of RV spots for a long time. Either get a hotel or sleep on your boat. After you launch your boat, they pull up a tractor and haul your trailer away so you can have your truck without the hassel of dealing with your boat trailer. Your trailer is tagged by your Tickfaw entry number. I was told by Joey to print out your entry form and pay when you get there. It is easier for them. I assume CASH. Vallet Trailer Parking. That's nice. There is plenty of boat parking throughout the canals that is part of the nieghborhood. The neighborhood supports parking outside the property of the marina. This is what I was told. Looks like I better book a room this week.

I have been several times and seen everything you mentioned. If you do not want to go this route, there is a public ramp further down the road and you can still dock the boat at the same bulkhead. Just depends on what works for you. It is a blast and a pretty cheap poker run. Book the trip, you will be happy you did.

Were at the Hoilday Inn. I still may leave the boat in the water. I bet its safer there than in a Hotel parking lot.

That is cool you guys are booked. You will enjoy the run.

I have left the boat on the trailer and in the water in the past. For me, the main influence on making that decision was if we had an extra vehicle. If so, we just left the trailer and truck hooked up at/near the hotel and left the boat in the water. The only negative (which I do not have experience with) storing the trailer at the valet marina, is getting it back in a timely manner. I'd think everyone wants their trailer at the end of the run about the same time.

On leaving the boat in the water... I always figured there are about 200 boats worth way more then my boat doing it, must be pretty safe. And I am pretty sure that party goes on 24 hours a day so there is always boat people walking around. It is funny, all the locals have "camps" around the marina where you will keep your boat. These "camps" kick my house directly in the ballz. In other words, they don't need our chit

I need to meet some of you guys prior to the run. We are on Lake Conroe, so give me a heads up if you are on the water.

We are staying at the La Quinta in Hammond. Prob leave the boat in the water and pull the truck/trailer back to the hotel. Another couple I think are renting a car so we can all jump in...prob be a Geo Metro for 6 peeps but it'll be fun! First time for this run so looking forward to bringing the big girl out to play!

Joe, don't know if you remember Keli and I from Conroe...had the 29 OL "NAUTI ONE"... Be good to see some of the ole gang from Conroe out there!
