Bup- can you do the basic PM's on stock 502's? Carb adjustments, etc etc?

We have a PQ 290 with twin 502's. Didn't get ran after Memorial Day last year, and not a lot do use planned this year. I'm sure it's gonna need to tweaking.

If so what part of town are you in? We've use a shop up near texoma in the past but it's a long drive for work.

Thanks,

Thanks for the offer. I am in Arlington TX, You are coming up on a year of not moving any fuel, nor moving the impeller as the impeller sitting and forming a folded over set. Did your boat get winterized properly ? There is more to it than just draining some drains and pulling hoses. Just asking -

How much fuel was left in your gas tank and how old really is it (the fuel ) ?

I would not run the boat on 1 year old gas no matter what fuel stabilizer or additive was used.

List of work and possibles

possible fuel drain completely

new fuel filters - 4 sure

not sure but possible carb overhaul again more so the norm especially with our humidity over the course just saying. Not trying to sell U anything as your boat is not even in my hands to sell you one dimes worth.

Impellers and housings - I don't do just impellers without changing the black plastic housing for Bravo apps. I use OEM brand new bravo Impeller kits

possible cap and rotor again humidity can be the main source for the reason even if its only 2 years old.

Batteries ???

motor oil and filter change - depending

Gear oil change and pressure test drives depending

What timeframe are you looking at ?

I am booked but possible can fit you in about 10 days to 2 weeks from now. I have to apologize about this timeframe but will add if a shop right now is not out at least a week min - there is something wrong with that shop meaning they are dead for a reason.

Actually I am 4 weeks out but as a favor will try to fit you in at the 10 day to 2 week span here.

email. [email protected]

you can leave a contact # along with call back times so we can discuss and pinpoint what really might be needed for proper service. I will shoot you straight even if I do not work on your boat.

Also put a title on your email. heck it won't cost you anything. just messin

+1 just got rid of the last of my 75 gallon old rancid gas stash that even the mowers rejected . Good thing i have a buddy with a farm that does a lot of bonfires. Empty storage tanks diidnt last long . 4 new ones all with old gas including a baja that holds about 160 gallons . Think the lakes being up and low gas prices are bringing them out of the shadows this year.1/3 of the boats at pier 121 dont look like they have been out in years
Seen these newest ethanol blends clog a carb after only sitting over the winter untreated.
