Check out Clear Lake area and nearby Galveston. Moving south along the coast from Galveston is Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and finally South Padre. Galveson and South Padre are more ideal comparisons in Texas. Might consider Mobile, Biloxi, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach as well. Access to the Great Loop will give you more adventure than you can think of, you can boat from Mobile Alabama to Great Lakes thru New York and even the Chesapeak Bay. Would love to boat the Tennessee River one day.

Nothing beats LOTO for powerboat scene in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
