few questions after seeing the overhead of the map, I have a gated trailer that is approx 40 ft then add my truck is there enough room for parking?
Secondly, how is marine patrol up there? My boat being an active race boat does not have FL #'s and I was informed locally here that as long as I had all my safety equipment and was in "test mode" I am legal, but we all know that different areas interpet the law differently. Cav I have all the love in the world for ya and just want to play, I have the Benny boat that did 89 in the kilos even with the new x it still cruises at 85, but since you have your priorities I will slow down to admire your upholstry lol:p Hopefully we can pull this off and look forward to meeting ya'll and having a great fun and more importantly a safe day of boating Trent matt |

Haven't seen him on the lakes much lately..... but you never know. Isn't there a FL statute about a boat not needing registration if it is preparing for or participating in a sanctioned event? May you could print out the statute. I've got no problem playing with you..... but with the load I'll have on Saturday..... I won't be able to break 80mph...... but I'll still be having fun! |
Trent and Rick. If you're coming up St Rd 19 put in at Hickory. Plenty of parking. If I can get the cat in there you should have no problems.
There is ALWAYS plenty of parking there. About a 4 acre parking lot! Just another option for you. |

Venetian Gardens Ramp...
This is a good ramp. Plenty of parking with overflow in the Baseball field.
What time and where are we going to rally up? I know several of us will use different ramps..... I plan on getting underway early. |

Looks like AWESOME weather! |
You’ll suck! I have to spend the next two day’s in a conference while you guys are screwing off on the water…… Have fun:cool-smiley-027:
CA, what kind of boat does Jeremy have now? I heard he was in a 29’ Velocity, did he get rid of the 32? |
jeremy to my knowledge never had a 32. He started out with a VR-1 with his dad, then they sold that, he bought a 29 SC, sold it, and bought another just like it, just with different paint...he trades boats like he trades trucks, so there is no telling what he is in now. His dad bought a 35 donzi after the vr-1 and then sold that and got a 28 donzi..i think that is gone now too. But of course jeremy could have a 32, he was trying to sell the 29 so he might have upgraded.
the only 32 in this area that I can remember seeing was Mike Smith who now has a 38 mares cat. He had the 32 first but then he had them both at the same time, i am not sure if he ever sold it.....though i haven't seen it anywhere now..and it has been a long time since he bought the 38 so I am sure it is gone now. |
Mike traded the 32 for a Baja. Then sold the Baja to jon He has a car lot in Tavares.
|
You going to be there tomorrow Barry?
|

Great Time everybody!!
You all have a nice lake there, I will be back, but next time with the wife, and the Pantera. Would have been better if everone could have gotten together earlier, and run in a pack, but with engine troubles, and such some people got delayed. Running the Lake at 80 MPH was awesome, gave me some time on the throttles, and in the boat with Trent before we run the boat in Ocean City, It wasnt rough enough to be real practice for the race, but gave us time together practicing the turns, trim, and such without getting too beat up, heck that was the most time that boat has ever seen in one day, and the first time it was ever rafted up like that:D Rick |

We got to practice some WOTturns, and ran thru the brige at WOT, and there was only one time when Trent had to yell at me to pull out, we were runing behind one of the islands on Harris on the way back to the bridge from y'all, and I learned that conditons can change quick, as the boat got some air, and got a little squirrely, OOPS:party-smiley-004:

Did anyone gat any pics of the F-1 fountain running??
|
No. Just got some of going thru dead river. Will post later.

yeah we watched ya take that one, when you went over by the lilipads, we thought you were gonna go fishin:D Sorry about the bad luck with the boat, we would have come to the ramp to get you, and bring ya to the raftup, but there is only room for 2 in the fountain. We didnt stay much longer anyway, after we spoke we stayed at the raftup for about a half hour, then went and burned another half tank of fuel(about 4 laps thru lake harris, and little lake):cool-smiley-011: See ya soon. Rick |
Hey guys.. Was great to meet everyone yesturday and I hope that is one of many good times on the lake this year. I to wish we could of packed up and run a little more together, maybe next time....
All in all was a good day and no major casualties that I know of.... Jack |
