Does anyone want to plan a trip to bimini bahamas?

Looking to make the trip on the calmest seas. Possibly stay or just go for the day. Which ever works best for the group!

I was thinking some time in July would be perfect.

I have not done the trip before, so i was hoping to look for someone who has and make the trip together! Should be a nice ride!

I would assume leaving the WPB, Ft Lauderdale area.

I'm planning on going next summer. Let me know how it goes as it's going to be me and a Maxum Cruiser and hopefully a few others. Do they still do the 'Bimini Flings' that are run by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism?

We made the trip in the March frame time, 8 footers for 28 miles across the gulf stream on the way there, flew back, waves were 14 ft. I wouldn't go in March again

We have not done this trip either and that is a big interest of mine. This year is not good for us unless it is later in the season and if it is still doable then. We are selling our house, buying another and moving and getting the boat ready for running has us spread out thin.

I would prefer to do it with a group or those who have run this before too. Sounds great but I don't know the ropes here.
Keep me in the loop with run times and plans.

Summer is usually flat, when you start getting out of summer it can get nasty.

Went 2 weeks ago.....over in 2-3 ft chop, home in 3-4 and the wind was blowing hard out of the south. Pound a wave and the spray got everyone wet.....atleast everyone on the port side of the boat!
