Yes we did. It is right on the river. The house has a boat we can rent which we probably will but we are considering bringing our boats too. How rough do you think the water gets at the dock being right on the river? Can't wait to do some boating there, hopefully we can figure it out. Where are the good places to go as far as just hanging out and swimming, where are the good secluded beaches and where are the good restaurant bars and any other good places to go? Are there any good snorkling areas?

I think I mentioned it in a previous post, the first thing I would do, before I even put the boat in the water, I would go to West Marine, it's right down the street from where you're staying on Cape Coral Parkway and buy a local navigation map, they're $30 bucks and they're laminated so if you get them wet it won't ruin it.
The maps have all the channels, markers, bars/restaurants and most of the beaches, it's the best $30 you can spend down here.

90 miles or so to key west. One of the best weekend spots to hang out is anchor up in the gulf in front of lani Kai. Love that place. Good music. Lots of good little places on the water in some of the canals and up and down the river. Plus not far up to Charlotte harbor for even more stuff. I'm still learning

I doubt it. More likely end of this year to summer of 15. Gotta give the soon to be ex too much money!! I should have dads scarab though. I work 28-14. If I happen to be off I should be able to get you out if you don't have one or meet up and run with ya.

We are coming in a month. We will probably get the map that you guys talked about too. Give me a few or the dont miss places to go and maybe where or how to get there. Nice resataurants, maybe some out of the way good ones and any islands or great places to just hang out.
Thanks
Dale

Are you going to have access to a boat, if so, the Fish House, Cabbage Key, how long you gonna be here, on land I would definitely go to Miceli's up on Pine Island Road West of Chiquita, there's lots more.
