Her name is Linda Dale Carter, she's a ReMax agent and knows all the ins and outs of the market in this area.
Her cell number is 239-634-9464, if you speak to her tell her you got the number from Jim who snowbirds between the Cape and Lake of the Ozarks.............she'll know.
A few pointers;
stuff moves quick
cash is "KING"
if you're financing, get pre-approved before you put a contract on anything
be prepared to move fast and close quick
good luck

So to those of you who have lived on both coasts.............which is better and why? We have also been looking at the treasure coast area like St. Lucie, Stewart, Micco, Sebastian, etc....
Love boating obviously, also diving and treasure hunting

East coast of Fla has always been a beautiful place to boat , but after 35 years of growing traffic ( land and water ) , speed / noise restrictions , ect.on the waterways, I relocated my Watersports business to the Fla West coast ( Anna Maria Island - above Sarasota , below Tampa / St Pete ).
The first thing I had to adjust to were the amount of Nice / Polite customers with well behaved kids ( Our tourists come from the middle of the Country all the way up to Michigan , mostly mom , dad , and a couple kids) .Many of these families have migrated to the west coast over the years ,so when I interview for new employees' , I usually have a decent group to choose from.
As far as boating , I love it . No major speed restrictions in my area or noise problems. I have never even been stopped or checked in 10 years. Plenty of wide open areas , destinations ect.
Dont forget , its only a few hours to get to the other coast for a change of pace! Good Luck!!!

The coasts are definitely different. If I wanted to ONLY boat I would look at the Cape Coral area or maybe Sarasota. It's a quieter side of the state and that works for some.
If you want to live the florida lifestyle, and ALL that it offers, then the east coast from Palm Beach south is a must. You get boating, weather(warmer than west coast in winter), culture(or shock) and a true nightlife. The transit to/from is also much easier to most destinations.
You can't go wrong buying in Florida, but make sure you get a full experience on either side beforehand.
