We would at times though set off the drive fluid level monitor alarm after spending a few seconds in the air off those 50' Sea Ray cruiser wakes!
Not sure I would say if handles rough stuff like a 33' - 35' boat but for it's size (hull length more like a true 29 not counting platform) and weight it does incredibly well in the snotty stuff. As Mental points out, setup is key.

Setup is key! my buddies 32SS runs just as good as my 33 Powerplay! very impressive (even though I've ridden in several new SS's) still an incredible ride in the rough..............

I have run my boat to the Bahamas twice and had a rough day each trip over. Boat did great but it was a 4 ft day running 58 miles over. 12 boats left and we were the 3rd to arrive in West End and it wasn't because we were the fastest. We were easily the slowest top speed boat in the pack. Nothing broke but the couch seat was on the floor when we arrived.

Any more opinions!

We've been very happy with the ride of our 32SS (SSR hull) in the Pacific Ocean. We cruise around at 40 - 50 all day. If you want to work the controls a bit more, get a little air and hang on, you can run 55+ in the average 3 foot day in S. CA all the way to Catalina. The landing is soft if you keep it flying level. Not too bad at all even when get the whole boat out of the water.
Our's tops out around 82 in a light chop with a light load, but it's rare we can run it up there in the Pacific unless we're behind the breakwaters. We've launched at Lake Pleasant near Phoenix a couple times. You could probably play dominoes at 60 MPH on that lake on the average day.
