Kanook, sweet ride! 2 questions: what speeds are getting? And, who did the windscreen? Does it work? Does it fit with your cockpit cover?

I have merc labbed props that Mike H and Joe S figured out after testing to come up with the best combo for the boat. (I have ser numbers if you want to order a set.) Best speed to date with light fuel and a couple people was 86.5 gps(have gps Picture on phone) 82-83 every day. that is a stock Sunsation wind screen. yes the cover was made to fit around it.
:p

How was your hole shot and mid range with the labbed merc's? Last time I tried a labbed props they were slippery out of the hole and didn't hook up until top end. If you can keep the low end, and get 86 MPH, I definately want the serial numbers.

Mentalpause had labbed Bravo I 4-blades on his 2000 Dominator with 454 MAG's and the hole shot and mid-range were stellar. I drove the boat many times and it had no problems coming up onto plane.

Hole shot is perfect. never slipped.

Props are 15 1/4" 31s bravo one 4 blades. labbed by merc racing. 920-924-2037, you give them these ser # and they can make the same prop. be ready to spend some $$$ though. :)
Right side serial # K 0 4 1 4 5 0
Left side # K 0 4 1 4 5 1

That is great to know. I am going to run the boat, and probably go for the labbed props, love speed!!! I saw your post a while ago and the clips you used on your last Dominator. Will they work on the new dash style? Do you have the phone number for the guy who made them?

It will work if you don't have the model with the glove box and if the new dash has a continuous radius. Send me a pic and I will be able to tell you. I see the guy all the time, I can ask him. with the dimensions you can go to any machine shop and have them made.

It does have the glove box and with the speedo and mirror, I dont think the continous one would work. I was thinking I would do the two sections, one for each side.

Kanookstr 02-06-2008 03:26 PM

You can do the two piece. the difference is night and day with the wind shield. looks like you have enough of a lip to do at the very least a two piece.

Sweet, do you have the phone number for the guy who made the clips?
